Magnification and scaling of small habits
If you are interested in personal growth and self improvement there are generally a few approaches that are commonly used to help you become more successful. There are approaches that focus on making massive change rapidly such as quickly tightening your spending or committing to going to the gym every single day even though you may have just started your fitness journey. On the other hand, you will also see many cases of people making many small changes that lead to larger results over time such as not buying coffee from Starbucks or cooking more meals at home.
The general view of which one is better for you depends both on what you want to improve and your own personal traits. For example, if you want to rapidly improve your personal finances, it is going to take time and consistency to see those results. Even if you cut down your spending, in general you won’t feel the effects of those right away aside from a temporary higher amount of money in your bank account. All of those major changes could also easily be reversed if you only do it one time and then spend even more money the next time you get paid. The other factor to consider is that they follow the same approach whether their goal is finance-related or something else because there may be better approaches.
