Setting up your life through challenges
For many people life is defined by their major milestone successes, after all they are the highlights of their lives. But just as we can define major eras of success we can do the same with failures. This more than just about looking at things as a jar being half full or empty. It is about understanding major shifts in perspective, changes to process, and truly learning from your mistakes because that is what allows us to grow.
The first thing we have to understand about failures is that there are different types. Some of those failures exist because we don’t know a particular set of skills or information. This can be resolved through learning and experience. The other are failures due to a commitment to a perspective that doesn’t work in our life. One of the most common sources of challenges are in finance and balancing them with relationships. There are many people that would like to have one person taking care of the home and one person working. Failure in this case is the conflict and breaking of the relationship because there is a misunderstanding of perspective. In this case failure can come from multiple sources. For example, it can come from a totalitarian approach such as only focusing on career work or only focusing on housework.
